Top 5 reasons to visit Zaragoza

1. Magical landscape of the Basilica of Our Lady of the Pilar.

Icon of the city, the Pilar Square is the only square that shelters two cathedrals at the same time – el Pilar and la Seo. This beautiful place is attended by 5 millions of visitors every year. For best experience rise up one of the 4 towers and enjoy the amazing city view.

2. Crazy climate.

You’ll never get too comfortable or bored. It´s super hot in summer and quite cold in winter. As a bonus you can meet “cierzo” – a specific strong northern wind, which appears in Aragón in The Valley of River Ebro. It comes at any season and changes the look of the city – the insurance companies and firefighters here often have some work here.

3. History sightseeing without tourist crowd.

Zaragoza, or “Cesaraugusto”, named in the honor of the Caesar’s adopted son August (the only roman who wasn´t charmed by Cleopatra btw) has more than 2000 years of history.  You can enjoy Roman Theatre, Forum or Thermal Bath as well as Catholic Cathedrals or modern buildings and even Zaha Hadid´s Bridge leading to the Expo Park. Moreover in Zaragoza you can find the Aljaferia – the world´s nothernmost Palace of Mudejar architecture.
